Black Cat VS Cat Noir (Marvel VS Miraculous Ladybug)
(Honey Ad)
(The arena lights up as Ringmaster is walking the steps to get to the top of the platform. Once on top, he walks toward the center of the platform while the mic is being lowered. At the center, Ringmaster takes the mic. The audience screams in excitement, and Ringmaster smiles. His teeth give off a small sparkle.)
Ringmaster: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to MY arena! Where there’s NO RULES, NO RESEARCH, ONLLLLLLLLLLY BLOODSHED! I am Ringmaster! Your announcer, your host extraordinaire for this extravaganza! And let me welcome you to the EXHIBITION!!!!!!!
Ringmaster: In today’s match, we’ve got two masked felines in black prowling the streets of New York City and Paris! Just don’t let them cross your path.
(A hologram of Black Cat lights up on the left side of the screen. Ringmaster spins around and points in that direction.)
Ringmaster: In this corner, we have Spidey’s well-known catty love interest. Marvel’s favorite cat girl. Black Cat!
(Ringmaster spins around and points in the opposite direction as a hologram of Cat Noir pops up from there.)
Ringmaster: And in this corner, we have one half of Paris’ favorite superhero duo. Wisecracking wielder of the Black Cat Miraculous. Cat Noir!
Ringmaster: Let’s size up the competition! Both of our feline combatants live in a world with superheroes, so you know they gotta bring their claws out to stay on top. Daughter of an infamous cat burglar, Black Cat has been on multiple areas of the spectrum whether as a cat burglar herself or as an antiheroine. However, she came face to face with your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man multiple times in her career, whether as enemies or lovers. Ooh la la. But how can she compete with Spidey? She has amazing stamina and the reflexes of… well, a cat. However, that’s not all this puddy cat can do though. Black Cat has many devices that boosts her strength and agility above superhuman levels. Add these gadgets to her knowledge of various martial arts, and she’s a force to be reckoned with! What makes her really deadly though is her sharp retractable claws. Ever gotten hurt by a cat's scratch? Well, those claws will make that feel like a mosquito bite in comparison! And trust me, getting scratched by a cat really hurts.
(Chibi Ringmaster tries to pet a cat but immediately gets scratched by it. He quickly shakes his injured hand while wincing in pain.)
Ringmaster: Let’s not forget about Cat Noir though. This teen hero is the supermodel son of a world famous fashion designer who just so happens to be a major supervillain. Woah, talk about daddy issues! With a magic ring that lets him transform into a superhero, Cat Noir saves the city of Paris everyday with the help of his partner and not-so-secret crush Ladybug. Anyone else ships these two? He likes to call her Bugaboo. Aww! Getting back on track though, Cat Noir is a pretty skilled fencer and at the top of his class. This kid’s perfect, isn’t he? He’s also good in hand to hand combat whenever he’s saving the day. When battling his father’s evil villains, this fun-loving feline likes to equip himself with a staff that’s basically like Goku’s Power Pole. It can extend itself to an unlimited length and be used for many other functions like a phone, rebreather, tracker, binoculars, you name it. It’s basically like a utility belt, except you don’t have to wear it. And if Cat Noir needs to get to different places, he can just use his staff as his personal mode of transportation. How do you even do that?!
(Chibi Ringmaster tries hopping on a staff like a pogo stick but loses his balance and falls.)
Ringmaster: They say black cats bringing bad luck is just a superstition, but that’s definitely not the case for Marvel’s Black Cat. Whether by using a psionic ability or cybernetics, she can affect probability fields. In other words, she can create bad luck just like an actual black cat. Get anywhere near her and you’re bound to get into a freak accident! Maybe that’s why her relationship with Spidey never lasts that long. Poor guy.
(Chibi Ringmaster is shown comforting a sad Chibi Spider-Man, who’s holding a picture of Black Cat.)
Ringmaster: Meanwhile, Cat Noir will activate his superpower when it’s time to beat the villain of the week. The one and only Cataclysm! With it, he harnesses the power of bad luck and destruction on his fingertips! No, seriously, anything he touches while his superpower is activated gets destroyed completely. Unfortunately, using this ability will revert him back to his civilian alter-ego in five minutes. Still, it’s pretty useful to get rid of any embarrassing photos of yourself.
(Chibi Ringmaster has his right hand glowing with black energy and touches an unknown photo with it. The photo disintegrates after being touched, and Chibi Ringmaster gives a thumbs up.)
Ringmaster: Cat got my tongue though as it’s time to find out who’ll emerge victorious from this upcoming catfight! What kind of unfortunate events will their bad luck bring? Probably tons of money in collateral damage. So without further ado, let the exhibition BEEEGGGIIIIIINNN!!!
The setting takes place in the city of Paris, France late at night. Cat Noir is using his staff to patrol the streets in case of an Akuma attack before heading back home. As he passes by a couple of buildings, he notices the museum lights still on. Cat Noir has been to the museum multiple times as Adrien Agreste, so he knows that the building should’ve already been closed hours ago. Thinking that it could be one of Hawk Moth’s akumatized villains committing a crime, the cat-themed superhero makes his way to the museum to investigate.
Meanwhile inside the museum, Black Cat is stealing a priceless artifact from its display. The artifact in question is a cat statue made of gold with rubies for eyes. Using her retractable claws, the cat-themed thief cuts a hole in the glass case that’s keeping the artifact safe and protected. Removing the glass piece, Black Cat carefully pulls the cat statue out of its display without triggering the alarm. Chuckling, the thief places the artifact inside the back that she’s carrying with her. Just as she’s about to leave though, Black Cat hears a light thud behind her. Turning around, she sees Cat Noir standing a few feet across from her with his staff in hand.
Cat Noir: Another Copycat? Whoever you are, it looks like you took something that doesn't belong to you. I advise you to put it back.
Black Cat: My, my, aren't you a little too old to be playing dress up? It's past your bedtime, little kitten, so go back home while you still can.
Cat Noir smirks, not feeling a bit insulted by the thief's words.
Cat Noir: I'm feline about doing the opposite. So you can fur-get about leaving with whatever you stole.
Black Cat raises an eyebrow and frowns at the superhero's puns. Locking her bag closed, she gets into a fighting position.
Black Cat: A comedian, are we? Can't say I didn't warn you.
The fight starts with both combatants charging towards each other as Cat Noir swings his staff at the thief. However, Black Cat dives out of the way and appears behind the superhero. Using her retractable claws, the Marvel thief attacks Cat Noir's back with a flurry of scratches. The French hero shouts in pain from the attack before retaliating with a spin kick. Black Cat raises her arms to successfully block the kick, but it provides enough force to push her back.
Cat Noir runs towards the thief with a fist raised and throws a punch at her, but Black Cat is able to dodge the punch thanks to her enhanced reflexes and grabs the French hero by his belt. Using her enhanced strength, Black Cat spins Cat Noir around and throws him aside. However, the French hero immediately recovers in time to see the thief perform an axe kick on him. Cat Noir raises his staff for protection, successfully blocking the incoming kick. Smirking, the French hero pushes back Black Cat and knocks her off balance.
Taking this opportunity, Cat Noir leaps forward and smacks Black Cat across her face with his staff. However, he isn't done yet as he delivers multiple strikes to the thief's head without stopping. Afterwards, he knocks her back with a kick to the stomach and aims one end of his staff at her. Pressing a button, Cat Noir extends the length of his staff. One end of the weapon hits Black Cat and pushes her back until the staff slams her body into a wall. Reducing his staff back to its original length, Cat Noir looks at his opponent with his arms crossed.
Cat Noir: Gonna give up now? Right now is the purr-fect opportunity for you to do so.
Black Cat gets back up, now angry at the French superhero as she grits her teeth.
Black Cat: Don't get so damn cocky, you little brat!
The fight resumes as Black Cat races towards her opponent with her retractable claws out. She attempts multiple swipes at him, but Cat Noir is barely able to block them all with his staff. The French hero fights back, hitting the thief with multiple strikes from his staff. However, Black Cat holds her arms up to protect herself from getting hit by the weapon. After protecting herself from another strike, the thief knocks Cat Noir off his feet with a leg sweep and leaps at him. Unfortunately for Black Cat, the French hero uses his feet to flip her over. Hitting the floor with a thud, the thief looks up to see Cat Noir stand back up and swing his staff downward at her. Black Cat quickly rolls her body out of the way, causing the French hero to hit and crack the floor instead.
Getting right back up, Black Cat immediately kicks the staff right out of Cat Noir’s hand and successfully delivers a double kick to his chest. This attack pushes the French hero further away from his weapon, which is what the thief is going for. Cat Noir throws a punch at his opponent, but Black Cat easily blocks it and slams her right knee into his stomach. As the French hero gasps for air following the hit, the thief knocks him back with a spin kick to his chest. Black Cat isn’t going to give him time to recover though as she runs at him, swiping her retractable claws at the French Hero once more. Cat Noir narrowly dodges the lethal attacks, but the thief manages to land a scratch on his cheek once.
Feeling blood dripping from the light wound, Cat Noir growls and goes on the offensive. Black Cat tries to swipe her claws at him, but the French hero successfully blocks her attacks. He headbutts the thief, stunning her for a bit. Afterwards, Cat Noir delivers a punch to her face before following it up with another one. He finishes the combo with a jump kick that knocks the thief onto the floor. With his opponent down, Cat Noir races to where his staff was and retakes it back into his possession. Looking back at his opponent, the French hero sees her getting back up. Despite that, Cat Noir continues his attack as he charges towards Black Cat with his staff ready. The thief is prepared though as the French hero jumps over her in a flip. Unfortunately for him, Black Cat grabs him by his belt and throws him down, slamming him onto the floor.
However, Cat Noir is out yet as he extends the length of his staff once more to jab the thief’s face from his position. Jumping right back up, the French hero reduces his staff back to its original length and jabs Black Cat a few more times with it like a rapier before slamming it across her head. Feeling a bit dizzy from that last hit, the thief sees Cat Noir in the air swinging his staff downward at her. She crouches and leaps upward into the air, delivering a palm strike to his stomach that provides enough force to send him crashing through the museum’s glass ceiling. Cat Noir lands on the roof with a harsh thud while Black Cat lands perfectly on her feet a short distance away from him. Not giving up, the French hero gets on his feet once more and glares at the thief.
Cat Noir: Cataclysm!
Activating his superpower, Cat Noir races towards his opponent to use it on her. Black Cat notices the French hero’s right hand being covered with swirling black energy. Cat Noir swipes his hand at her, but the thief manages to avoid getting touched. However, Cat Noir didn’t stop as he continued trying to land a touch on her. Thanks to her sharp reflexes though, Black Cat still keeps avoiding direct contact. Deciding that injuring his opponent would slow her down, the French hero strikes his staff multiple times at the thief. Black Cat tries to dodge the hits, but Cat Noir would attempt to touch her with Cataclysm to follow up each strike. After the French hero tries to hit the thief with his staff once more, Black Cat ducks and kicks the weapon out of Cat Noir’s hand up into the air. With his staff gone, the French hero tackles the thief onto the ground and tries to grab her face with his right hand.
However, Black Cat manages to grab Cat Noir’s arm just in time to prevent him from touching her face. Knowing that Cataclysm will end in a few minutes, the French hero uses his other hand to grab onto the thief’s right shoulder and tries to overpower her strength with his. This seems to be working as his right hand is inching closer to her face. As Black Cat is struggling to keep Cat Noir’s hand away from her, she notices the staff landing a few feet behind him. Curling up her legs, the thief uses her feet to successfully push back the French hero. Cat Noir tries to regain his footing but fails to notice his staff lying on the roof, causing him to accidentally slip on the weapon and fall on the roof. However, that is the least of his worries as the French hero sees his right hand touching the roof.
As a result, cracks begin to form throughout their section of the roof before it suddenly collapses. Black Cat jumps out of the area, grabbing the staff in the process. Cat Noir, however, plummets back into the museum with pieces of the roof following him. As the dust settles, the French hero is shown trapped and pinned by the rubble with no way of getting free. Black Cat is back on another section of the roof, looking through the large, gaping hole where the previous section used to be. Raising the staff up high, the thief throws the weapon like a spear using all of her enhanced strength. The staff pierces Cat Noir’s throat and impales his now dead body to a large piece of rubble behind him. Blood splatters on the surrounding rubble. Black Cat opens her bag to check on the cat statue she stole, only to find it broken in half which makes the artifact worth significantly less than it used to be. With a disappointed sigh, the thief immediately flees the scene as she hears the sound of police sirens nearby.
Ringmaster: Woah, talk about one hell of a catfight! Come back next week for a battle between slayers. The link to vote for the winner of that exhibition is in the description below.
