Top 20 Most Wanted Death Battles By VampyreNVRmore
Death Battle. One of the most iconic and most popular VS web series on the internet. Despite what some people say about it, the show is highly known for its spectacular research-based animated fights. If anyone ever wants to know who could beat who in a fight between two fictional characters, hosts Wizard, or Wiz for short, and Boomstick will analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Throughout their decade long history, Death Battle has done many matchups. However, there are still many more that people would like the show to do. That's where this blog comes in. I myself have wide number of different matchups that I would like to see Death Battle do. Therefore, I'm compiling them into a list where I would explain the connections between the characters in each matchup, and why I would love to see them happen. Now without further ado, let's count down all the fights I would like to see in Death Battle.
20. Team JNPR vs Kazuma & Co.
Initially, I had solo matchups for Kazuma and Megumin. Kazuma would be fighting Subaru from Re: Zero while Megumin would fight Deidara from Naruto. While Kazuma had more than enough for a solo fight (other opponents for him included Issei Hyodo from High School DxD, Naofumi Iwatani from Shield Hero, and Gwenpool from Marvel), Megumin had one problematic issue: she can only use her Explosion spell once per day and becomes immobile immediately after. Afterwards, a member of a Discord server I'm a part of asked who could be good opponents for Kazuma and his party as a group. At first, I couldn't think of an answer at first. However, the answer came to me a few weeks later. Team JNPR.
The connections are many. As groups, they're each a band of misfits who can get themselves into trouble. Plus, each of their individual members have connections with each other. Lie Ren and Satou Kazuma are both boys in green who are proficient with blades and are basically D&D Rogues. Nora Valkyrie and Megumin are both very eccentric girls who are basically dating said boys in green. Pyrrha Nikos and Darkness are each a strong female warrior with a famous background. Finally, Jaune Arc and Aqua are the healers of their group. However, both Jaune and Kazuma also share some similarities. Both of them started off as a loser but became the leader and main strategist of their teams.
This fight is going to be very chaotic. Kazuma's party is very dysfunctional as the three girls would only sometimes listen to their leader. However, the group tends to work very well together when the situation calls for it. As for Team JNPR, their biggest liability is Pyrrha. Once the group's strongest member, Pyrrha died in Volume 3 and the rest of Team JNPR had long surpassed her. However, I doubt it'll hurt the group that might in the fight. It comes down to being a battle of group dynamics. Also, expect quite a lot of panty stealing from Kazuma and Darkness spouting sentences related to her masochist fetish.
19. Steven Universe vs Star Butterfly
Steven Universe and Star vs the Forces of Evil are both cartoons from the 2010s that had their fair share of praises and criticism, each having their brightest moments and glaring flaws. However, you have to admit that both shows have made a big impact in people's lives. Since they aired in the same decade, these two cartoons have often been compared to each other. Therefore, it's only natural that their main protagonists are paired in a fight to the death.
The connections are that these two characters are optimistic protagonists from cartoons that aired in the 2010s. Each are capable of performing extraordinary abilities that are linked to worlds far from Earth. Additionally, both characters had to uncover mysteries and fix past mistakes left behind by their heritages.
Just like with Aang, Steven's pacifism will be removed in this battle. After all, it's a fight to the death. With these two, it's going to be a battle of offense vs defense. Steven's shields and bubbles are mainly used for protecting himself and others from harm while Star's magic spells are mainly used to attack enemies. However, each have their own special trump cards. Despite having little information, Steven's Pink form increases Steven's strength and durability. Meanwhile, Star has her Mewberty form, which grants her flight and increases the power of her magic. It comes down to whether Star's offensive magic can beat Steven's defensive gem powers or vice versa.
18. Ash vs Red
I'm pretty you've all heard the claims and statements that Red is the "best trainer in Pokemon." But here's the thing. What exactly makes him the best trainer? Every other protagonist in the other Pokemon games did the exact same thing he did. Is it because he came out first? I'm not sure that's a good reason, especially since the other protagonists did the same stuff at a much grander scale. Then there's the comparison people make between him and Ash Ketchum, with them saying that Red is a better trainer than Ash. While Red did catch 150 Pokemon, defeated Team Rocket (only for the organization to make a comeback), and did become the Pokemon Champion of Kanto, people tend to underestimate Ash. Sure, it took Ash around 20 years to win a championship, but he also did many accomplishments. And that's what I think people are forgetting. Therefore, this is one debate that needs to be settled once and for all.
The connections between these two characters are that they're both Pokemon trainers. That's pretty obvious. However, they're also the first trainers of their respective medium. Red is the first Pokemon trainer of the franchise's games while Ash is the first Pokemon trainer of the anime. Additionally, Ash is supposed to be based off of Red, so it's also a battle between the original and their copy.
This battle could either two ways: a 6 vs 6 or a 1 vs 1 Pokemon battle. For a 6 vs 6 Pokemon battle, Ash would receive his most strongest Pokemon. Of course, the first three are obviously going to be Pikachu, Greninja, and Charizard. The other three could be tricky. Sceptile could possibly be included. As for the other two, one of them could be Melmetal. It's fairly new but it's also a mythical Pokemon in Ash's possession. The last one would possibly either be Krookodile and Lycanroc. Personally, I would lean towards Krookodile since it adds more type variety and there's already a Alola representative in Ash's Death Battle team. As for Red's team, it would be Charizard, Pikachu, Venusaur, Blastoise, Espeon, and Snorlax. The team he used in Mt. Silver.
For a 1 vs 1 Pokemon battle, Red would be partnered up with Charizard. For Ash, his partner will be Pikachu. While Greninja could also be a good choice with its Ash-Greninja transformation, Pikachu is the more obvious choice. The electric-type has always been with Ash from the very beginning and is his number 1 partner. While Pikachu doesn't have a Mega-Evolution like Red's Charizard or a special transformation like Greninja, the yellow mouse does make up for it with its Z-Move. Plus, Pikachu is still a pretty powerful Pokemon without it. Let's see who truly is the best like no one ever was.
17. Madara Uchiha vs Sosuke Aizen
This won't be the first time Death Battle had a Naruto vs Bleach matchup. Though I will admit, I never read the Bleach manga or watched the anime. Therefore, I don't know what exactly Aizen can do. However, I am aware that he's super OP. And who else would be a better opponent than Madara Uchiha, another OP Shonen villain.
The connections between these two villains are that they're both master manipulators in their respective series with OP abilities. And once again, they reignite the Naruto vs Bleach rivalry. Plus, they were both the big bads before they were replaced at the end their series. There's not much other connections, but no they're each other's perfect opponent.
Since I never got into Bleach, I don't know what kind of abilities Aizen has. The only thing that I do know is that he possesses different forms and most definitely has a sword. As for Madara, I know which abilities he possesses. He's capable of performing fire style jutsus like other Uchihas, and possesses the Sharingan and its other forms. Because of that, Madara has access to Sharingan abilities like the Susanoo. However, he also has the Rinnegan, which allows him to possess the different 6 paths. However, he also has different forms after becoming the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tailed Beast, gaining different abilities and techniques such as Limbo Clones and Truth-Seeking Balls. Overall, this fight is going to freaking crazy.
16. Yang vs Bakugo
Things are about to get heated up between these two. Thanks to All Might vs Might Guy, matchups featuring characters from My Hero Academia are more likely to show up in Death Battle. Say what you want about him, but Katsuki Bakugo is an MHA character perfect for the show. Bakugo enjoys a good fight and won't hold back against whoever he's facing. Who would be a better opponent for him than Yang from RWBY. While Yang has already been in Death Battle before, I think Bakugo serves as a better opponent for her than Tifa.
The connections between these two characters are that they're blonde hotheads who are also explosive in terms of personalities and abilities. Sure, while they've both hot-tempered, they've learned how to keep a cool head when it comes to fighting. Plus, they both attend a school that teaches them a righteous profession, whether as a crime-fighting superhero or a monster-slaying huntress.
For this fight, I did mention both of them having explosive abilities. Bakugo can literally create explosions from the palms of his hands while Yang can shoot explosives from her shotgun gauntlets. Yang does have a slight advantage in experience, but Bakugo does have an advantage in being a better strategist. Yang's Aura will protect her from lethal blows, but it's not infinite and can be drained. Yang's semblance, Burn, is her trump card, which allows her to dish out twice the amount of damage she received. Meanwhile, Bakugo only has 1 quirk. Despite that, he's been training to increase its power and has created a variety of techniques with it. This is going to be one explosive battle that's going to end with a bang. Also, expect a lot of cursing from Bakugo.
15. Hawk Moth vs Mr. Freeze
How far are you willing to go to save a loved on? Are you willing to do whatever it takes no matter the cost? That's the case with these two characters. Before the truth about Hawk Moth was revealed in Miraculous, Mr. Freeze didn't have a good opponent for him. The only other opponent I heard for him was Dr. Octopus, but what where their connections? Evil scientists? It's a vague connection and just another excuse for another Batman vs Spider-Man fight. Thankfully, Season 2 of Miraculous revealed Hawk Moth's identity to be Gabriel Agreste and also gave in more insight on his motivation (saving his wife) to obtain the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous. Season 3 also expanded upon his motivation and showed more how far he's willing to go.
And that's the connection between these two. Both of these characters are husbands who turned to villainy in order to find a cure to save their wives. If there's a way for them to find a cure, they'll take it and wouldn't care who they'll hurt in the process. However, what's more interesting is the type of cure they want. Hawk Moth is looking for a mystical cure while Mr. Freeze is looking for a scientific one. They still other connections based on their personality. Both of these characters have a cold-hearted personality but have also shown to be caring toward their wives since they constantly vow to save them.
What makes this fight appealing to me is that these two characters only have connections based on their motivations and personalities but not their abilities. Hawk Moth is an empath, being able to sense people's negative emotions. This allows him to corrupt them with his Akumas, mind controlling them and possessing their bodies. His main weapon is a cane with a hidden sword inside it. As for Mr. Freeze, he wears a suit that keeps his body in low temperatures. His main weapon is a cold gun that he uses to freeze his opponents. So it's interesting to see how the outcome will be decided between two characters with very different abilities.
14. Alexander Anderson vs Hidan
Ever thought what would be the perfect Death Battle for the Christmas season? Well do I have the answer for that question. I haven't seen any good opponents for Alexander, so I figured Hidan would be the perfect one for him. While I've seen Ban from Seven Deadly Sins requested as an opponent for Hidan, I don't think the two have any good connections other than both of them being immortal.
Speaking of connections, the connections between these two are that they're both high religious psychopaths who live to kill. Each are part of an organization dedicated to hunting down supernatural beings and are highly difficult to kill. As you can see, there's enough connections that justify this matchup.
Expect this fight to be extremely bloody. Perfect for the holiday season. Of course, the cause of this fight would definitely be one combatant insulting the other's religion. Blades will clash between their respective weapons, Alexander's bayonets and Hidan's three-bladed scythe. Let's not forget their trump cards, Alexander's transformation using the Nail of Helena and Hidan's Jashin Ritual. Both of these characters have their own way of staying alive, which makes it difficult for them to be put down. Alexander has a strong healing factor thanks to bio-technology (which can be enhanced by the Nail of Helena) while Hidan has his immortality. However, they each have their drawbacks. Alexander's healing factor has its limit, meaning he can still be killed. And while Hidan is immortal, he doesn't have a healing factor and therefore can't put himself back together without outside help.
While he did leave Team Four Star on his own terms, I do hope Ben "Hbi2k" Creighton returns to the role of Alexander Anderson. He played the character in TFS' Hellsing Ultimate Abridged, and I don't think there can ever be someone else do a better job than him. As for Hidan, I'm confident Death Battle will find a voice actor best suited for the Akatsuki member.
13. Hiro & Baymax vs Hiccup & Toothless
Here is a matchup that's fairly popular. I was surprised when I first learned that Big Hero 6 was based on characters from Marvel, though most of the characters differentiate from their comic book counterpart. As for How to Train Your Dragon, I was a big fan of the movie trilogy. After watching the first movie, I was also surprised that it was based on a book series. Just like Big Hero 6, nearly all the characters in HTTYD are different from their counterparts in the original source materials.
For this matchup, only the movie versions will be used along with the TV shows and specials that takes place in their universes. One of the connections between these two groups was mentioned earlier. They're both different from the source material that they're adapted from. These two groups represent a bond between a rider and their companion. Additionally, Hiro and Hiccup are the leader and strategist of their respective groups.
This fight will be a battle of strategy, companionship, science fiction vs fantasy, and a robot vs a dragon. How could there be anything more epic than that? Since both Baymax and Toothless have flight capabilities, most of this fight will take place in the sky. Hiro and Hiccup will be figuring out how to defeat each other. While Hiro does have the advantage in intelligence, Hiccup has more experience in aerial battles. I will admit one thing though. The ending will be bittersweet.
12. Hulk vs Broly
Broly has always been a polarizing character to the point that the Dragon Ball fandom was split on him. Some Dragon Ball fans liked him because of how strong he was in his first movie. Other Dragon Ball fans didn't like him for numerous reasons (his backstory, his lack of a personality, his two sequels, etc). Therefore, it was pretty surprising to everyone when Toei announced that the main villain of 2018's Dragon Ball Super movie would be Broly. However, things were different as the creator of Dragon, Akira Toriyama, was personally reworking Broly. When Dragon Ball Super: Broly got released in theaters, not only did it become the highest-grossing Dragon Ball film ever, but it also became of the highest-grossing anime films of all time. As for the new canon Broly, fans loved him way more than the previous incarnation of the character.
As you can see by the thumbnail, this matchup will focus on the new version of Broly considering he's canon to Dragon Ball while the old Broly never was. The connections between him and Hulk are that both characters are gentle people who turn into roided out green monsters because of their rage. Plus, they share the backstory of having abusive fathers.
These characters are widely known for their sheer power and strength, so that's what this battle will mostly be about. While both of them can throw strong punches, each of them have their own unique abilities. Hulk has his healing factor and thunderclap while Broly has his Ki attacks and Super Saiyan transformations. Additionally, these combatants constantly grow stronger which will make this fight be epic and destructive.
11. Orochimaru vs Medusa Gorgon
Initially, I preferred Orochimaru's opponent to be Hisoka from HunterXHunter. However, during at the time, I had forgotten about Medusa's existence. It's been a while since I've watched Soul Eater. Once I remembered her, it was then that I realized that she was a better opponent for Orochimaru than Hisoka.
The connections between these two characters are that they're snake-themed Shonen villains (yes, Soul Eater is a Shonen anime/manga) who love to conduct experiments on people without any remorse or guilt. Both characters are highly intelligent and cunning and are willing to manipulate others for their own goals.
Knowing these two characters, this fight will be a battle of tactics and strategy. The combatants will study each other throughout the fight to figure out the best way to win. While ninjutsu has jokingly been referred to as "ninja magic" in Death Battle, this fight will actually have ninjutsu go up against actual magic since Medusa is a witch. Also, expect a lot of snakes and a bit of hand to hand combat and sword fighting to appear in this fight.
Fun fact, Orochimaru and I share the same birthday on October 27th. It was pretty interesting when I first found out.
10. Ladybug vs Spider-Man
I'll admit. I wasn't a fan of this matchup at first. I understand the connections between the two. They're both bug-themed superheroes who wear red and black costumes and love to swing around from building to building. Plus, they both have black cat-themed love interests. In fact, Ladybug's creation was inspired by Spider-Man. However, I though the fight was too much of a stomp in Spider-Man's favor.
However, recent calculations have upgraded Ladybug's stats, making this fight much closer than it originally was. Afterwards, I began to appreciate this fight. After all, if Ladybug has a chance to win, then I'll want to see it happen. Plus, it helps that Miraculous still has more seasons and a movie to provide more feats for the French heroine.
The fight between these two will be interesting to watching. As I mentioned before, both characters love to swing from building to building, so it'll be nice to see somewhat of an aerial battle between the two along with some hand to hand combat. They also have weaponry to bind their opponents such as Ladybug's yo-yo and Spider-Man's webs. Of course, their biggest trump cards are the Lucky Charm and the Spider-Sense. Overall, it'll be spectacular to see these two face each other head on.
9. Mordecai & Rigby vs Finn & Jake
What time is it? It's time for a Death Battle! After Cartoon Network's horrible mistake that was it's CN Real era of live action TV show, the network introduced it's Renaissance Era that featured new cartoons. Two of those cartoons were Regular Show and Adventure Time, and I've been a longtime fan of them during the time they aired.
For the connections, these two teams are a pair of best friends from popular cartoons that originated from Cartoon Network's Renaissance Era. Both teams save the day, get into trouble, and go on epic and weird adventures. That might not sound a lot for some people, but they're just enough for this matchup.
This will be a battle of teamwork. Finn is known for using variety of swords and his robot arm with numerous tools while Jake has his elasticity. As for Mordecai and Rigby, they both know Death Kwon Do and their arsenal really depends on what stuff they picked up over the years would you give them. As I mentioned before, teamwork would be an important factor for this fight.
8. TMNT vs Robins
Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo vs Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Red Hood (Jason Todd), Red Robin (Tim Drake), Robin (Damien Wayne). With eight combatants in two teams, this has to be by far the most insane matchup on this list. Though technically, this fight will be 2 combatants shorter than Power Ranger vs Voltron. However, this fight will have information cropped or shortened because some of these combatants have enough for solo matches.
If you're curious about the connections, these two groups are brothers (whether by blood or adoption) who were raised and trained by martial arts specialists since a young age. Of course, one of type of martial arts taught to both groups was ninjutsu. Another connection added between the two.
With eight combatants on the field, this battle will be all over the place. Teamwork will be an important factor in this crazy fight. While the turtles do have better teamwork, the Robins are more dangerous individually and possess more gadgets than the heroes in a half-shell. It comes down to which group has the stronger brotherly bond.

7. Maka Albarn vs Ruby Rose
Yes, I'm aware that this is technically cheating considering this matchup has already been confirmed to be happening. Ben Singer did say that Ruby vs Maka will happen once Ruby's Silver Eyes gets explained, which happened in RWBY Volume 6. The Silver Eyes only activate near Grimm and affects only them. However, this matchup hasn't aired yet as we don't know when it'll be a Death Battle episode. Therefore, it can still appear on my list.
The connections between these two are pretty clear-cut. Both are teenage girls wielding a scythe as their primary weapon and attend a school that teaches them how to slay monsters. Additionally, each have special abilities thanks to their heritage. The Silver Eyes have already been mentioned for Ruby (from her mother) while Maka can manifest blades from her body (from her father) and possesses the Anti-Demon Wavelength (from her mother).
This fight is going to be fast. Scythes will slash, bullets will fire, and these two are going to quickly move around trying to land deadly blows without taking many hits. Ruby's at a disadvantage since this is technically a 2 on 1 fight thanks to Soul, but she can still make up for it with her strategic mind.
No doubt Lindsey Jones will reprise her role as Ruby Rose. Fingers cross that Casey Lee Williams will provide vocals for the fight's soundtrack.
6. Chucky vs Slappy
If your Death Battle fan who loves horror movies, then you know for a fact that Jason vs Michael is the most popular matchup requested featuring famous horror movie icons. You also occasionally see Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and even Pyramid Head be requested to fight someone. However, you hardly see Chucky from the Child's Play franchise be requested for a Death Battle, do you? Well look no further because this is the perfect matchup for killer doll.
If you're a longtime reader of the Goosebumps book series, then you'll know who Slappy is and what he's capable of. It's no secret that this living dummy is considered the most popular monster in all of Goosebumps. He appeared in multiple Goosebumps books and episodes of the TV series and was the main villain for both Goosebumps movies.
So it's obvious what the connections are between these two now that I introduced Slappy. Both combatants are villainous dolls/dummies who cause mischief and trouble and possesses knowledge in voodoo/dark magic. Neither of them can be put down for good as they always find a way to come back after getting seemingly defeated. And unlike other dolls like Annabelle, Jigsaw, and Monokuma, Chucky and Slappy are actually alive instead of being puppeteered/remotely controlled by an evil spirit or serial killer.
At first glance, you might think there won't be much of a fight between these two. That's where you're wrong. Chucky's very skilled with weapons such as knives and other blades while Slappy possesses supernatural abilities such as telekinesis, reanimating inanimate objects as his personal army, and turning other people into ventriloquists dummies like himself. The hardest challenge for these two will be putting down their opponent for good, and it'll be fun watching them try.
5. Joker & Harley Quinn vs Roman Torchwick & Neopolitan
It's no secret that Harley Quinn is overdue for a Death Battle. Ever since her introduction in Batman: The Animated Series back during the 90s, Harley has been rising in popularity at DC Comics, resulting in her getting her own solo comic series, movies, and cartoon. However, Harley has too many requested opponents for her to fight, which I can understand why Death Battle hasn't used the character yet. Then I started to realize what if instead of a solo fight, Harley was in a two on two tag-team fight with the Joker.
That's where Roman and Neo come in. While we don't know what their exact relationship is, Roman and Neo have often been compared to the clown couple with the only difference being that they don't have a toxic and abusive relationship. Plus, I do ship Roman and Neo as a romantic pairing (and they're my favorite pairing in RWBY with Renora in second). And that's when the connections start to appear. Criminal couples/romantic partners in crime.
The fight itself would be interesting to watch. Both teams are deadly and dangerous. Between the two groups, Roman and Neo have better teamwork and tend to be on sync as shown in their battle with Ruby Rose. But while Joker and Harley lack good teamwork, they can make it up with their insane gadgets and weapons. It's a battle of survival to see which couple comes out on top.
Casey Lee Williams would definitely reprise her role as Neo and Lucas Schuneman would probably come back as the Joker since he voiced the Clown Prince of Crime back in Joker vs Sweet Tooth. I'm not sure if Gray Haddock would come back to voice Roman. As for Harley, I would prefer whoever voices her will sound closer to Arleen Sorkin than to Tara Strong.
4. Mickey Mouse vs Bugs Bunny
Rivalry matchups tend to be huge and epic. We've had Goku vs Superman, Mario vs Sonic, and this one is no different. Animation has been an important part of entertainment since the early 20th century. It impacted people's lives and industry, and most of it is thanks to Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. Without them, animation wouldn't be as it is today.
Since their debut, Bugs and Mickey, and by extension Walt Disney and Warner Bros, has developed a rivalry with each other. And like all great rivalries, I believe it's time to find out who would be the winner of this rivalry. Also, to avoid an misconceptions, Ben Singer did not ban Mickey Mouse from being used in Death Battle. He just said that the character can be hard and tricky to use.
A lot of things can happen in this fight, and all it takes is imagination to make it happen. Both combatants have the ability to use Toon Force and break the fourth wall to give themselves an advantage. Of course, both combatants have other media that can help them. Mickey has Kingdom Hearts while Bugs has DC Comics. It's a fight that can go either way for these two.
This fight is also one of the matchups that can be done only in 2D animation. After all, that's how both combatants started out in. Rooster Teeth's 2D animation department appears to be the right for the job after they animated Deadpool vs the Mask.
3. Reverse-Flash vs Goku Black
When the Dragon Ball Super was still airing in Japan, the anime introduced to us a brand new villain in the form of Goku Black. While his arc can be polarizing for many Dragon Ball fans, there's no denying that Goku Black was a cool character and villain. As a result, I wanted to see him as a new combatant in Death Battle.
Initially, I preferred the idea of Goku Black vs Bizarro. After all, it was basically Goku vs Superman but the opposite. However, I started to like this matchup more when Eobard Thawne was suggested as Goku Black's opponent instead. After all, when you think about it, this matchup makes much more sense.
These two combatants are time-traveling supervillains who wanted to become the heroes they despise. They're the polar opposites of the Flash and Son Goku. This fight is all about speed vs power. Thawne makes a deadly adversary thanks to his genius-level intellect and super speed while Black possess powerful destructive capabilities and a variety of techniques and Super Saiyan Rose transformation. Both combatants will use any means necessary to take the win. Will Reverse-Flash's speed allow him to outlast his opponent, or is Goku Black's power too much to handle?

2. Sun Wukong vs Cat Noir
Honestly, if RWBY had stuck with Black Sun instead of going for Bumblebee, this matchup would've made much more sense. This match came to mind during Volume 4, and the connections are easy to see. Both combatants are blonde, lovable goofballs who are the love interests of dark haired beauties. Each use a staff as their main choice of weapons and possess animal-like traits. In Sun's case, he has an actual monkey's tail.
Both RWBY and Miraculous are two of my favorite shows this past decades, so it's very entertaining for me to see a character from each series fight each other. You don't see a lot fights between staff users, but these two can definitely make it fun to watch. Sun's semblance allows him to create clones of himself and his staff is also a gun. Meanwhile, Cat Noir possesses catlike reflexes and his OHKO technique, Cataclysm. It basically boils down to who can land the killing blow first.
Of course, Michael Jones would reprise his role as Sun Wukong. Fun fact though, he and his wife Lindsey are also fans of Miraculous, so this fight would be extra special to watch. At some point, I do feel Miraculous needs to get represented in Death Battle, and this is the perfect matchup to do the job.
1. Alucard vs Dio Brando
Vampires. Known throughout folklore as the deadliest monsters of the night, vampires has appeared in every single piece of media you can ever imagine, and anime is no exception. While there has been numerous vampires in many different anime, the two most popular ones are Alucard from Hellsing and Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Sure, while the amount of connections between these two bloodsuckers aren't that much, their wide variety of abilities are what makes this fight entertaining. Alucard's absurd regenerative abilities and Dio's time-stopping powers will make this a long lasting battle. It boils down to if Dio can outlast Alucard's healing factor or if Alucard can overwhelm Dio with his abilities. Obviously, Schrodinger wouldn't the outcome easy to figure out.
However, what will make this matchup a showstopper are the potential voice actors behind the combatants. If possible, Takahata101 and Antfish can reprise their roles as Alucard and Dio respectively. After all, they're highly known for voicing those characters in their abridged series. Plus, I'm sure we can expect references to Hellsing Ultimate Abridged and JoJo memes in the fight.
Honorable Mentions:
Cinder Fall vs Azula
A battle between fire-wielding psychopaths. These ladies lust for power and will manipulate others to get what they want. Both have their own advantages. Cinder possesses the magical Fall Maiden powers and can an assortment of weapons while Azula is a genius prodigy and can generate fire and lightning for battle. Plus, I'm pretty sure Jessica Nigri will reprise her role as Cinder for this battle.
Akira "Joker" Kurusu vs Giorno Giovanna
Persona and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure sort of have a rivalry when it comes to VS debating, though mainly that's because of how similar yet different Personas and Stands are to each other. Joker and Giorno are the main protagonists of the fifth installment of their respective franchises. Additionally, both lead a group of criminal delinquents for the morally good intentions of removing corruption from their society. Each character have a Persona/Stand with overpowered abilities. However, what makes this fight very complicated is Giorno's Stand G.E.R. The Stand possesses abilities that are difficult to interpret, which makes the outcome for this matchup difficult to figure out. But eventually, one of these two will come out on top.
Darth Vader vs Obito Uchiha
These two are essentially the same character once you've learned their backstories. Both men were once good people who fell into a path of evil after losing the love of their lives. Afterwards, they became powerful, ruthless villains. However, they were also manipulated into these dark paths by their new masters. At the end of their lives, both of them died redeeming themselves by helping out in defeating said masters. A battle between the Force and Ninjutsu will be interesting to see as these two fight it out to see who's superior.
Rey vs Korra
A surprising matchup that I feel is very thematic. Both are female protagonists of a sequel series that people view to be inferior compared to the original. These two characters have always been seen by many needing to live up to the legacy left behind by their predecessors. That is why I see this matchup to be thematic. The Force vs Element Bending. Both have a lot to prove, and this fight would be epic to watch.
Bobobo vs Axe Cop
Bobobo-bo bo-bobo was one of the first anime I ever watched as a kid before I even knew what an anime was. Many years later, I found out how powerful he really is which made me want to see him in a Death Battle. His most requested opponent is Axe Cop. Admittedly though, I never watched Axe Cop, so I don't know what the connections between these two are. However, I do know that Axe Cop goes on these wild adventures just like Bobobo. Overall, I'd like to see what Death Battle can do with this fight.
Thank You
It took me many days and a lot of thinking to create this list. I'm not sure if Death Battle will do all of these matchups, but it'll be amazing if they did. I'd like to Ben Singer for creating such an amazing series and for all the hard work he and everyone else have done. Anyway, I gotta go. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
20/10. Amazing job.
